Supporting Israeli citizens is our greatest hope

As the CEO of the oldest archive in the United States, a strong part of my job was to keep the archive relevant continuously in the written press, television, and online. In this article, I responded to the importance of archival treasures in American history after a White House Administrator spread misinformation about the classic poem by Emma Lazarus on the base of the Statue of Liberty.

This piece was written to support an exhibition that Noga Founder and president Rachel Lithgow co-curated at the National Museum of American Jewish History and the Center for Jewish History that went on to travel, most notably at the National WWI Museum, a Smithsonian affiliate, in Kansas City.

During an unprecedented period, cultural institutions around the world were in danger of closing. This piece was published in the Post and received a lot of attention, including a segment on CNN.
